The software is built. The people part is next.
The Warm Door's rooms (Pink Shield, Coffee, Not a Coffin and Gold Coin) have working tools behind them, built by Data Fight Central. BULLY, Pink Shield at school, is now its own app in development. What they don't have yet is the work with people: gyms, schools, cafés, coaches and kids. That is what a grant would pay for.
Built, and you can check it
- Help lines and quick exit on every Warm Door page
- Safety checks in DFC's AI assistant
- A gym map where gyms claim their own page
Not yet
- No programme has run. No participants yet.
- No partner gym, café or school has signed.
- BULLY is its own app now and not released yet.
- No grant has been awarded.
What exists, room by room.
Everything on the left can be opened and tried. We would rather show you a short true list than a long one you can't check.
Built
- Pink Shield. A fixed safety check runs before any answer from DFC's AI assistant and shows Australian help lines. The app's Pink Shield room has a one-tap disguise screen.
- Gold Coin. A gym that claims its page on Data Fight Central can say it offers a free trial to a kid who can't pay. DFC's fee on anything given to Gold Coin is set to zero.
- All rooms. Help lines on every page, a quick exit, and data kept in Google Cloud's Sydney region.
Not built or not started
- BULLY. Pink Shield at school is now its own Android app, in development at bullyyouth.com. It is not released, and no school uses it yet.
- A Pink Shield gym standard. No gym holds the badge, and no coach training runs.
- Any fund. No Gold Coin or Coffee money is collected.
- Outcome data. Nothing has run, so there is nothing to measure. We show no numbers until there are real ones.
- Charity status or accreditation. Neither is held.
What a grant would pay for.
These are proposals, not running programmes. Each one turns a built tool into something that happens with real people.
-
A BULLY pilot with one school
Once the BULLY app is released: setting it up with one school, testing it with staff, students and families, and supporting it through a term.
-
Gold Coin first weeks
Paying partner gyms for free first weeks for kids who can't afford to start, so the gym isn't carrying the cost alone.
-
A Pink Shield gym standard
Working with qualified family-violence specialists to write what a gym must do before it gets the badge, then checking gyms against it.
-
Independent evaluation
Someone outside the project measures what changes, so any number we publish later is one a funder can trust.
Targets, not supporters.
We list a fund here only as somewhere we intend to apply. None of them has backed the Warm Door.
- Local council community grants, starting with Logan City Council
- Queensland Government domestic and family violence prevention funding
- Australian Sports Foundation, for fundraising for community sport
- Business community programmes, none linked to gambling
Heath Ewart.
Creator and builder of the Warm Door and Data Fight Central.
Heath grew up on the streets, where struggle, violence and survival shaped his early life. At a PCYC gym, a gold coin a session opened a door to training. Through combat sport, he learned discipline, the value of setting goals and how to give his life direction.
He fought under full Thai rules against champions and held a WMC title. He built gyms, helped fighters find their feet from the gutters and the streets, and ran Launceston's first MMA event. His work included Tasmanian Fight Championships, which he trademarked in 2011, and the Hoodie Program, offering free training and fruit to local kids until the money ran out.
He also knows what it is to lose what he built. He has faced the loss of his home, his freedom, his business and his connection with his children, alongside the unravelling of his mental health. Finding his way again is an ongoing part of his life.
Today, Heath is rebuilding by helping others rebuild. The discipline and direction he found through training now shape his purpose: mentoring, helping people set goals and giving those who know the streets and struggle a chance to find their own way forward.
He taught himself to develop software and is building the tools behind Data Fight Central and the Warm Door. He brings the experience of a fighter, a gym builder and someone still rebuilding his own life. That journey is the reason he keeps creating: to turn what he has lived through into something useful for others.

We care because others don't.
Ask us anything. We'll show you the real thing.
We can walk you through BULLY and the rest of the tools live, and answer what isn't built yet as plainly as this page does. See the Sanctuary & Nova Shy companion preview.
